Orphans
We support 35 orphans in KISUMU, KENYA. Many of these children were orphaned in the political unrest of December 2007, and they are cared for by Nashon and Monica Ooko, and a number of widows who live with the children. Sadly one girl contracted malaria in June, and died, and recently another child has been hospitalised due to a snake bite.

The above pictures were from back in 2012/13. Since then, a hectare of land was donated to the orphanage about an hour’s drive away in the rural area of Seme.
Initially, a corrugated iron building was put up which served as a dormitory, classroom and dining room, when the children were not eating outside.
Since then, the site has been developed over the last decade, with fencing, separate male and female dormitories, a kitchen/dining room, an office and a church. The well had been improved, and a water tower installed, and multiple fruit trees planted, as well as some root crops such as cassava. New orphans have come into the orphanage, as others reached adulthood. About 50 children are fed each day, with 35 formally living at the site.
We also help orphans in ZAMBIA,
and MALAWI
and INDIA. Pictures coming soon.
